• Nebraska - ACF Freestyle (GAYP) Open Tournament.
• Saturday, October 10th, 2009, Old Country Buffet, 7540 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE
• Tournament is 7-rounds, GAYP (same day).
• Registration 8:30 a.m. Saturday.  Play begins 9:00 a.m.  entry fee is $10.00
• The OCB serves a great breakfast & Lunch.
• Take the 72nd street exit north off of I-680 whether you are coming from the east or west on I-680. There are several motels right there off of the exit. Dodge street is about 1-1/2 miles north on 72 street. Turn left on Dodge street, the OCB is on the right side by Toys R US.

Results:

The Nebraska Checkers Association held their 3^rd annual State Freestyle Tournament on Saturday 10-10-09 in Omaha, NE.  There were 7 rds. of play with a 45 minute time limit per game.  The Swiss-system was used as the method of scoring.  The Ty. started at 9:15 am and concluded at 4:00 pm.

• Wade Holder of Fayetteville, NC won the tournament, but Jose Avalos was the highest finishing Nebraska player and was declared the Nebraska State Freestyle Champion for 2009.

• NCA gives a special thanks to all the out of town players who made the trip to Nebraska and supported our tournament, also special thanks to Darlene Stallsworth for another fine job keeping score.

•  This tournament has created more interest in Nebraska Checkers as we had 8 spectators present as we did last year.
